Pı̂n-toāⁿ ê chháu-meh

(Chháu-nı̂ kong) Chháu-meh kap káu-hiā-á sı̄ hó pêng-iú, chhun-thiⁿ ê sı̂, in siông-siông choè-hoé tı̄ chháu-po͘, tı̄ hoe-hn̂g nih thit-thô, thiàu-bú. Ū chı̍t-jı̍t, in thit-thô kah chin sim-sek ê sı̂, chı̍t chiah Káu-hiā kong lâi kā in kóng: “Chím-má sı̄ joa̍h thiⁿ, lín thang chı̄n-liōng thit-thô, m̄-kú tio̍h ē-kı̀-tit, kàu chhiu-thiⁿ tio̍h ài choè kang oh.” Chháu-meh thiaⁿ liáu kóng: “Goá chiah bô beh khı̀ choè kang leh, lí khoàⁿ, choân tē-bı̄n chiūⁿ lóng sı̄ chia̍h-mı̍h, sı̄ án-choáⁿ tio̍h ài choè kang?” Joa̍h-thiⁿ kè-khı̀, thiⁿ-khı̀ chiām-chiām liâng-léng, káu-hiā-á chai-iáⁿ tang-thiⁿ teh beh kàu, chiū kā chháu-meh kóng: “Pêng-iú ah, hiān-chāi sı̄ chhiu-thiⁿ lah, choh-sit lâng lóng teh siu-koah, thô͘-kha la̍k chin choē ngó͘-kok, lán khah kín lâi khı̀ khioh tńg-lâi khǹg toà thô͘-khang, thang chún-pı̄ kè chit ê tang-thiⁿ.” Chháu-meh iô thâu, koh cháu khı̀ thit-thô. Káu-hiā-á chiū ka-kı̄ khı̀ choè kang, thong-jı̍t bô hioh-khùn, poaⁿ mı̍h-kiāⁿ. Tang-thiⁿ kàu lah, chhiū-ba̍k lóng ko͘-ta khı̀, chháu-meh-á kiâⁿ-lâi kiâⁿ-khı̀ lóng chhē bô chia̍h-mı̍h, koâⁿ koh iau, i siūⁿ beh khı̀ chhē káu-hiā-á thó chı̍t-koá chia̍h-mı̍h, nā-sı̄ káu-hiā ê khang-chhùi hō͘ toā hong-seh khàm-ba̍t lah, hit àm, chháu-meh koâⁿ sí lah.
